TENDER

Invitation of offer from registered transport operators having permanent office at Kolkata for transportation of exhibition materials of the Directorate of Micro & Small Scale Enterprises, Govt. of West Bengal for India International Trade Fair – 2011 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi to be held in November, 2011 (Programme Period from 14-11-2011 to 27-11-2011).

Sealed offers are being invited from registered transport operators having permanent establishment in Kolkata for transportation of the exhibition materials of the Directorate of Micro & Small Scale Enterprises, Govt. of West Bengal for participation in India International Trade Fair – 2011 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi in November, 2011. The offer, if accepted, will be valid up to the year 2012.

Eligibility:

Registered transport operators having permanent establishment / office in Kolkata covered by appropriate Insurance Laws, Trade License, Service Tax Registration Number etc. having experience of transport of such Govt. materials in the past will be eligible for submission of offer.

Scope of Work:

a.

The selected transport operator will be required to provide one/two big size containerized fully covered truck with arrangement of full door security locking arrangement at the back to carry valuable and sophisticated products of small scale industries for participation in the trade fair. The container truck of the above description will be required to be placed at the office of the General Manager, District Industries Centre, Kolkata at 11A & B, Esplanade East, Kolkata – 700 069 on 3rd or 4th November, 2011 or as may be decided later, positively by 6.00 a.m. in the morning for lifting of the materials. The trucks will have to be placed for exclusive use of the materials of the Directorate of Micro & Small Scale Enterprises and will be sealed after packing at site. The sealed container trucks containing the materials will be required to report at the West Bengal Pavilion at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 10th November, 2011 by 10.00 a.m. for delivery of the items.

b.

For return journey similarly after the fair is over the trucks will have to be placed at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi (West Bengal Pavilion) tentatively on 28th November, 2011 at 3.00 p.m. for carrying back all the exhibition materials to same place at Kolkata. Date and time if changed will be informed accordingly. 

Transport operators who are prepared to offer one/two big size containers (trucks) having containerized facility for transportation of the exhibition materials of Directorate of Micro & Small Scale Enterprises on exclusive basis only should apply to the Director & Member Secretary, West Bengal State Export Promotion Society indicating their firm offer for this transportation programme. All such offers should be accompanied by a copy of current trade license issued by Kolkata Municipal Corporation and copies of certificates in confirmation of having undertaking such transport jobs of exhibition materials of the Government in the past. Copies of Pan Card and Service Tax Registration Certificate should also be furnished along with the offer. Application form is available at the office in all working days up to 14th October, 2011 form 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The offer, complete and firm in all respects and in sealed cover should reach at West Bengal State Export Promotion Society, “Oswal Chamber” (4th floor), Room No. 401, 2, Church Lane, Kolkata – 700 001 by 17th October, 2011 at 2.00 p.m. [Monday] and the same will be opened shortly after receiving the offer on the same day in presence / absence of the tenderers at 3.00 p.m.

Sealed tenders are invited by the West Bengal State Export Promotion Society from reliable, resourceful and experienced contractors/firms/organizations for enlistment of a few eligible and capable contractors/firms/organizations for two years (2011-12 & 2012-13) for undertaking different works relating to temporary construction of structure, decoration, fencing, sanitary and water arrangement, beautification of Expo ground and other related work and security guard for organizing Handicrafts Expos etc. at Kolkata/Salt Lake/other areas. Quotation are hereby invited from the eligible & reputed Transporters/ Couriers within 16.08.2011 for hastlefree handling and transportations of handicrafts items from the office of the West Bengal State Export Promotion Society at 2, Church Lane, 4th Floor, Kolkata – 700001 to it’s stall (Stand No. 5E90, Hall No. 05) at the Fair ground of International Autumn Fair – 2011 to be held at Birmingham, United Kingdom during 4th to 07th September, 2011. The quotations are to be submitted for the consignment weight ranging from 250 kgs. to 1000 kgs.

It may be noted that the handling will include arrangement of the followings.

1.     Airworthy packaging of the materials at Calcutta & at the fairground at Birmingham (U.K).

2.     Clearing & forwarding.

3.     Proper documentation as required.

4.     Ensuring reaching the consignment at the fair ground positively by 03.09.2011 (afternoon), failing which high rate of penalty will be charged.
